Benjamin Bunny 2017 UK 50p Silver Proof Coin & Book Gift Set

The Royal Mint has released this coin and book gift set as a special way to celebrate Beatrix Potter and one of her adorable characters, Benjamin Bunny. The set combines a storybook of Benjamin’s story, ‘The Tale of Benjamin Bunny’, and a 2017 Benjamin Bunny silver proof, colour printed 50p coin. The book’s original cover is also exclusive to this set. It’s a wonderful way to share one of Beatrix’s famous stories while showing off the beautiful coin from The Great British Coin Hunt. 

One of Beatrix’s most loved stories, Benjamin’s story follows him and cousin Peter Rabbit back to Mr McGregor’s garden in order to find the jacket and shoes Peter originally lost in ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit.’ While gathering onions for Peter’s mother, they have a close encounter with a curious cat but are saved by Benjamin’s father who also punishes them for going to the garden. This gift set is a fantastic way to celebrate the continuing legacy of this gifted British author and illustrator.
