Introducing the Mrs Tittlemouse 50p Coin
This is the first UK coin to feature Mrs Tittlemouse and the last coin to be released in the third collection of the popular 2018 Beatrix Potter 50p coins. Mrs Tittlemouse is the ever-tidying wood mouse in Beatrix Potter’s story, ‘The Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse.’ In her story, she is in a constant battle to keep her home clean and organized as a continuing line of visitors come to her home, spreading their muddy footprints everywhere. Readers will recognize on the coin her little dress and basket holding her dinner, wonderfully captured by the Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
2018 Mrs Tittlemouse 50p Coin
The coin is presented in a fold-out folder containing Beatrix’s charming original watercolour illustrations as well as facts and excerpts from the wood mouse’s tale. It’s a beautiful way to display the coin and remember the magic of her story. Mrs Tittlemouse is designed by Emma Noble and the obverse design of the fifth definitive portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is by Jody Clark.
