Beatrix Potter 50p coins have been part of The Great British Coin Hunt since 2016 when the Royal Mint struck the first five coins to celebrate the 150^th birthday of beloved British author and illustrator, Beatrix Potter. Each year since then more coins have been released, expanding the array of Beatrix’s characters to the British public. For 2018, the collection brings back Peter Rabbit and three new characters – Flopsy Bunny, Mrs Tittlemouse, and one of the helpful mice from ‘The Tailor of Gloucester’.
